A Quiet Power, Peaceful Confident America

usa-1439915__180

America, the time has come for us to show this nation, this land, how much we love and appreciate Her. The time has come for us to raise Her from fear and hate. There are millions of us, with many different talents and skills. We can use those skills and talents to build each other up and not destroy. We can use those skills and talents to construct and not destruct. We do not have to self-destruct; we are fearfully and wonderfully made, intelligent and powerful, to allow the darkness that is creeping into our nation to continue to pervade, influence and take over us. Let’s get to work!kennedy-1341305__180We begin by changing our mindset; the way we think and do things. Are we not tired of being afraid and hateful? Are we not tired of feeling and being helpless? Are we not tired of hurting each other? Are we not tired of going around in circles? Do we not realize and understand that there is more to us than our anger, prejudice, stigma and depression?  We are terrified and broken but we cannot give up or give in to darkness, fear, depression and pulling each other down. We have to start thinking about how we can rise up from the dust and build each other up. We do not have to tear each other down. We do not have to tear each other apart. We do not have to bring division amongst ourselves. We do not have to crush and suppress each other. We do not have to look down on each other for any reason whatsoever. We do not have to glory in and gloat in other people’s failures.

Instead, we can choose to accommodate and assist each other. Instead we can choose to not take out our pain, agony, insecurities, and fears out on each other. Instead we can strive to make the brave choice to look at the root of our problems and torments raging within us, and fix them.  We can all become assistants and assist each other in so many ways than one. Imagine how you can help this nation grow. Imagine how you can serve. What if you didn’t just stop there? What if you acted on your imagination and dared to bring it to life? Imagine if you decide to step out of yourself and go out of your way to improve someone else’s day. The effect will be endless, so much so that you will never be able to measure it, because each of our actions take on a life of their own once we put them in motion in our nation. Our positive, everyday deeds will bless uncountable numbers of people we will never meet, never know, but will touch and change. The blessings have to start from somewhere, from someone, from us. Let us be the blessing to this beautiful land we all call home.

Any one of us can choose to assist another if we choose to discipline our hearts, minds, spirits and souls, to do so. Imagine a nation where we all assisted, where we all made a choice to become less and less selfish, more and more selfless, putting another’s feelings or situation before our own because at the time it was the right thing to do? We do not have to be a tit for tat nation, always ready to pull each other down and apart. Let us not allow fear to make us become or act like anyone else but our better self. Let us make every effort not to contribute to negativity, even when we feel put down. Let us take a deep breath, have integrity and focus on recreating ourselves and building ourselves into a quietly powerful and peacefully confident nation. It starts with each of us as individuals.

Instead of looking for opportunities to be vindictive and hurtful, let us develop a mindset to assist, support and encourage each other. Let us be the assistant that diffuses a situation before it escalates into something very unpleasant.  Will you choose to be that one person who determines to send out good energy anyway, regardless of a tough situation? Will you choose to summon up the courage to destroy unkindness with kindness? Will you summon up the guts to simply walk away, and not hurt back, when the pain becomes too much? Let us make decisions that will fix things amongst us and in our nation in a way that will enhance our lives and that of others. It is extremely difficult, but we can learn to not hurt others even when we are hurting. No matter how much people are hurting us, or have hurt us, we can learn and determine to take the higher ground and not lash back. An extremely difficult thing to do, but not impossible; it takes a lot of consistent and determined effort and practice. It takes Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence. We are a hurting nation, a hurting people, and we desperately need a dynamic jolt into becoming a victorious nation, and thriving individuals. How are we going to accomplish that? Let’s start thinking, imagining and putting it all to work and to serve our nation.quote-1444099_1280Genuine fears have made us build walls which have turned into deeply rooted unhealthy pride. That type of deeply rooted fearful pride becomes part of our existence, like a second skin. We do not realize that it is directing our everyday decision, creating consequences in our lives that come back to bite us. They bite us because our decisions were made out of false confidence, false security, and false existence.  We have crash landed and we are in need of power, real power, to arise as a nation, as a people. I have the audacity to believe that God has created us with innate power to brilliantly soar and we can do just that, without destroying each other. We need power to arise and take off, and we can do so in the God that we say we trust.usa-1491732__180We need Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence which is simply the art of attaining deep self-control and deep peace in our spirit.  It is the power to emanate positive light. It is the power to be careful about what kind of ripple effect we bring into the lives of our family, friends, community, office and nation.  We are all capable of Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence.  The difference is that some of us make a deliberate choice to cultivate and nurture it and some do not. Like almost everything else, the more you practice the better you become at it.  It is a journey of deliberately exercising the mind and emotions to always rise above and do better, and the long-term effects are absolutely worth it. It is allowing spirit, not nature, to take over. It is about the power to forgive. There are so many ways to be vindictive, to lash out and to strike back, but there is only one way to forgive—a deliberate determination to let things go. Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence, it is constant self-denial to resist afflicting pain on others even when you have the means to do so. It is power to not rejoice in the pain of those who have unjustly hurt you.  It is incredible power that does not come cheap, that is deliberately nurtured. It is self-control at its highest. Quiet power, graceful power, forgiving power—it takes practice and it takes guts.

We live in a ruthless, selfish and self-indulgent age where Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence is seen as weakness, but it is not. While others are spending large amounts of energy scrambling to device hurt, while they spend endless time manipulating and searching for ways to destroy others, those who practice Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence,  are spending time and energy seeking courage, wisdom, and strength on how to remain steady, quiet and powerful, filled with virtue from within. The emotional, mental and spiritual pain is phenomenal. It crushes your soul to not hit back, to not tell them like it is, and instead respond with grace. It is against our ordinary human nature, but if you choose to constantly respond negatively to others who treat you badly, then they have you under their control and you will become exactly what you did not want to become: their plaything. Behave oppositely to their expectations; perk up, be joyful, assist when you can, and let the ugly that has been dished out roll gracefully off of you. Now that is true liberty and freedom; rising above our torment and rage, to assist each other.

For our own sake and for the sake of humanity, especially the children and the next generations of children, let us use our freedom to take responsibility for how we react or could potentially react in a self-serving way. We have all been shaped, formed and defined by family, friends, schools, jobs, media, relationships, and all the latest this and that, whatever the latest norm is. Now it is time for us to define ourselves. You have been reminded that you have work to do, that it starts with you and within you. Every single choice we make matters! We matter, and so do other people.

Take a deep breath and allow situations to mold you into that better person that you can be. Freely give good energy and kindness, even when it is met with resistance, and do not resist it when it is freely given to you. Learn from painful, extremely difficult situations and allow them to mold you into a beautiful person, and not into bitterness, anger, depression and blame. Finger pointing is easy, it is ugly and it is natural, but taking a deep breath and deeply searching within on how to do better in a situation is supernatural and priceless. Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence, is not forcing you, neither is it telling you what to do, but instead it is nudging you into what you already have in you: beauty, virtue and intelligence to do that which is right. Deep down, you already know right from wrong. Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence is a resource for when you need refueling, a fortress for when your mind is going crazy with anger, thoughts of revenge, and feelings of hatred.

We have a journey to embark on, you and me, for our own sake and for the sake of the world. The journey is to make our nation a healthier environment for all of us, and as we do it creates a ripple effect into how we are with our families and others around us. We can choose to hold our demons in check or, better yet, rid ourselves of them entirely. We can choose to not take our pain, agony, insecurities, and fears out on each other.usa-1491725__180It is worth developing and building Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence. At the end of the day, we will have to find a moment in our lives when we make a decision about what type of person we are, who we have become and will become as a nation, and at what cost.

What cost do we want to live with? The cost to assist or to hurt each other?

Unlimited Divinity, Limited Humanity

bible-450298_1280

Who, or what do you look up to for solace? Who, or what gives you genuine and lasting healing balm for your soul, mind, and spirit? For me it is God, who I firmly believe created us and inspired the writing of the Holy Bible. He knows us and loves us beyond our deepest imagination. He gives us breath to breathe. Whether or not we acknowledge Him, truth of the matter is, He created us, and He is always there for us. We have created all the technology, all the science, but He is still God. We have great intellect, amazing philosophies and mind blowing science, but He is still God! He has our blueprint in the palm of His hand, and He is our Source, our Origin. That is why we are so unique, with such power and great abilities!  But along the way we have dangerously turned away from Him and we have looked up to man and his creations. We have left true unlimited divinity behind and we are following our limited selves, limited science, limited technology. No matter how great these things are, no matter how much they have assisted us, we still need Him, and at the end of the day, like it or not, the hour will come when we will cry out for Him. Hopefully by then it’s not too late.

My life has not been perfect and painless, but He has faithfully carried and seen me through my turbulence, and so I share with you today, that no matter what, there is true healing, true power, true deliverance, true peace, and true love, available to you. I am not speaking out of someone else’s experience, or because someone preached to me, I am telling you what I tangibly know and have experienced. I love humanity and I want us to know the truth!

With all my imperfection, mistakes, maltreatment, the violation and the abuse at the hands of others, He influences me to want to love, to want to be kind, to be understanding and giving, even when it is very painful and extremely challenging to do so. Where and who do you turn to for the supernatural? Who and what do you draw peace and strength from? God is  a real spiritual source that you can delight in, that will always remain as your firm foundation when everything around you is falling apart.  He will keep you steady and still when everything around you is spinning out of control. What or who will keep you intact when all hell breaks loose? Nine out of ten chances you will manage your emotions and channel your choices and decisions from whatever or whoever directs you spiritually. Try God.

When people ask me how I manage to stay afloat, I give Him credit. He is my strength, my peace, my joy. In Him is the place where my rawest pain turns into honey, where rejection by others turns into absolute self-acceptance, where hate is molded into unconditional love, where indecision is turned into wisdom, where sorrow is turned into laughter and sadness into joy. In Him my inner struggles cease and I find Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence. Without Him and His Holy Spirit, it would be impossible for me to take a deep breath as deeply as I do now, and tell you about the love, peace and healing available to all of us. Regardless of who you are or what you have become, you CAN turn to Him. Try God, our solace, where you will find unlimited and endless divinity instead of our limited short-lived humanity.

Need some solace, some wisdom, direction, healing and peace? Try the unlimited God!

He Who Washes My Soul

man-888591__180

So here we are Lord, just you and I. We have come such a very long way, where you have always been faithful, but where I have not. Yet you love me so endlessly it takes my breath away. How I wish others would open up their hearts, souls, minds and spirits up to you so that they too can experience the divine worth and value you place on us, every single second. Every breath I take, you are there, my source, my strength, my wisdom, my courage and my power.

Not that you had to, you really could have ignored me, left me to rot, lost and blind. I mean, why should you care? After all I do not follow all your precepts all the time. Why you bother with me I cannot fathom. It is too great this love you have for me, and I will never be able to repay. Even though you did not have to, you picked me up and embraced all of me.

I smile, wistfully, for I know the day will never come, when I will have the answers. You are too powerful to comprehend, yet so humble in love. There is no question that you are God. It is no wonder that you are the king of kings, the all-powerful and the all-knowing God. No one, nothing, can hold a candle to you. You are, always will be, my darling. With my underserving lips I will kiss you every day with worship, appreciation and thanksgiving. I am not ashamed of you. I love you! My mouth will boast and tell of you. I praise you! I always long for your presence and your voice. I yearn to be in that place where my heart, my soul, my mind and spirit are totally surrendered to you. A place in the depths of my being, where no one else, and nothing else, can reach, only you.

You have blessed me beyond my imagination. You have brought me through treacherous paths, slippery slopes, fear, abuse, violation, refreshed and revived me, and given me the power to stand tall. You give of yourself endlessly; you love me relentlessly, never giving up on me, always reminding me of my worth.

I wish millions would accept and experience your unending love. Many think that you are all about control. But you are not, are you? You are about restoration, healing, peace, joy, wisdom and strength. You are all about the fullness of life that we so desperately seek, but yet we will not turn to you. Our pain, our trauma, our emptiness, fears, insecurities, agony and demons cannot withstand your power; they cannot overpower your divinity.  Yet we do not lay them down at your feet, the truest place to be whole again.  At your feet, in your arms, is the true place to shake off the dust of shame, guilt, mistakes and traumas of the past. It is the place to make the brave choice to clean oneself up and grow beautifully.

Why do we tap into philosophy, science, intellect, nature, clairvoyance and astrology, but not into you, when you are the one who has created all things? What sense does it make for us to not come back to you, our source? Why do we chase and hold on to temporary fixes when it is you who gives everlasting peace and joy? We yearn and thirst for you, we know it, we feel it, yet we reject you.

Why do we choose darkness when you have made light available to us? Why do we continue in our torment and confusion, when you have given us peace and wisdom? Why do we hang on to our insecurities and fears when you have given us power? Why are we encumbered with sickness, body, mind, spirit and soul when you have given us healing? Why are we so poor, when you have given us abundance of life? What is it about us that makes us reject you? Why are we so defiant about accepting you when you are the answer to our sinking ships?

As for me, with my sins, my imperfections and my humanity, I will continue to look up to you, He who washes my soul, cleanses my mind, heals my heart and strengthens my spirit, He who gives me wisdom for my foolishness, and brings understanding in my confusion.

I live and I breathe because of you, my King.

Power beyond our imagination! Learn more!

Take This Moment Just for You

autumn-1029967__180

Have a seat for a moment.  Take a break from everything and every one. This bench is here especially for you, this is now your space; just you, your soul, your mind, your heart and your spirit.  Sit for a while and have some significant me time. Make it worthwhile, because this moment is yours. It is about you and only you. You have some very serious questions to ask yourself. No one is watching, no one is around, no one will walk by or peek at you. It is literally just you!

Take a really deep breath. Ready? Here we go.

Ask yourself…

  • Who and what is the source of my strength, wisdom, joy and peace?
  • How deep does the foundation that they provide me with run?
  • What are the depth, length, breadth, and height of my foundation?
  • What does this foundation really look like?
  • Is it worth turning to when I need to take a deep breath?
  • Can my foundation truly sustain me through my darkest times, answer my deepest questions, chase my demons away, and cause me to stand tall, shaken yet unshakable?

What is Your foundation?

You know your life better than anyone else does.

You know your truths and your lies.

You know what makes you tremble when no one is watching.

You know what makes you quiver in your dark and insecure moments.

You know where it really hurts!

You know what demons torment you.

When there is dark, unbearable torment and onslaught of anger, depression and insecurities on your mind, emotions, heart and spirit, who or what do you turn to?

  • What do they really do for you?
  • Are they genuinely supporting and buoying you up?
  • Can they truly stand the test of time for your life?
  • Will they last? Will they bring you real joy?
  • Will they bring you real peace?
  • Will they bring you real wisdom?
  • Will they bring you real liberty or just temporary freedom?

What and who you call ‘foundation’, what and who you depend upon, can they provide you with unlimited sustenance?

Think on these things, very deeply.  For your own sake, make sure that you are leaning and depending on the right foundation. One that will keep you, bear you up, come what may!

This is your life and your life matters!

My books are here to assist you! Find out more!

A Priceless Mindset

She showed me what real change is, and it was not money, it was something more than…

gold-632048__180

My mother not only taught me in words, but also in deeds. There were times when she did not take my side on certain painful issues or when I thought she was too strict but now I cannot thank her enough for how she raised me and for being who she is and setting an example while I was growing up. I have sustained many challenges because of her upbringing and teachings, her outlook on life and how to walk with diverse people of different personality types. She would handle everyone individually and uniquely depending on their personality type, but always with respect. It was not a cookie cutter approach. Looking back now, I realize that as diverse as the individuals were, and as differently as she walked with them depending on who they were, two things remained consistent: she did not change her character to suit someone else because they were uncomfortable with her, and her level of patience with each person and her tenacity to love them would not be eroded by conflicting personalities. I cannot for a single moment recall her ever taking her personal challenges or pain out on other people. Instead I constantly observed her acts of kindness, patience and service towards other people, and listened to her give reasons as to why people are the way they are, affirming we should always endeavor to have a good heart and treat people decently. As a youth (and even as an adult) when I was frustrated or angry with someone, she would always remind me to think about the human factor and not take the person too seriously, because who knows what their problems are and what troubles and torments them within ? Who knows what damage and demons they carry?

She does not have billions in her bank account but she is free of anger, hatred and bitterness. She is rich.

When I was younger her approach did not make sense to me. When I complained about the way someone treated me, she would brush it off and tell me not to feed into it or pay it any mind, when what I really wanted to do was confront the individual. Sometimes it hurt to apply her approach; it felt like I was letting people take advantage of me. But every time I applied it, I became a stronger and better person. Slowly, applying her approach made it easier to ignore what needed to be ignored, to be forgiving, to keep my heart free of any grudge, anger or hatred, and to just not feed into other people’s negativity. I worked on making greater efforts to be kind, peaceful and more understanding. When I realized that her approach added more to my life and it didn’t reduce me to a doormat or a bully, I fully embraced it. I realized that Mother had uncommon patience but was nobody’s doormat. She had the strength to not allow the blows others dealt to turn her into a mean, bitter, and depressed person. Even now after all these years, her constant advice is to cool it, take it easy, and avoid instant anger. Her theory is that it is not worth the long-term effects. Instead it is more essential to think things through before taking action and dealing with the person(s) I feel offended by. She does not use the exact term “take a deep breath,” but it is the same approach and advice. She does not have billions in her bank account but she is free of anger, hatred and bitterness. She is rich.© ~The Reminder: Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence

She raised me and changed my mindset, the type of change that money cannot buy, the type of change that will last me a life time, assisting not just me, but humanity.

What or who influences your mind, your heart, your soul, your spirit?

Developing Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence

sunset-summer-golden-hour-paul-filitchkin

Multitudes of us on this earth, but who are we truly? What have we really become? What do we really stand for?

The state of Self-actualization, Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence do not come cheap. It is divine. It is born out of extremely tough, agonizing and deep soul-searching situations. It takes practice and deliberate effort at developing a mindset that works towards love, peace and kindness.  It takes allowing our spirit, mind, and soul, being chiseled daily. While painful and agonizing, and completely going against our carnal nature, Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence seeks to develop the True, Spiritual and Beautiful Self hidden within us. It asks you and me to look within and tap into the spiritual part of our being and when we do so, in time, with much practice, as we tune and tap into our own spirit, we develop the ability to take our eyes off other people, take deep confident breaths and do that which is the opposite to unkind situations. We can control ourselves and our reactions towards others and what they do and say to us. We can develop peaceful strength to deflect the terrible things that are done to us. It is difficult and does not happen overnight, but it can be done, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month, and year by year.  Spiritually for me it takes God to take over my carnal nature, and in my tangible experience, it works.

Self-actualization, Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence come from deliberately digging deep within and HONESTLY facing who and what we have become, and making a deep quiet determination to become a better person who is capable of withstanding others in a peaceful way. Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence, is developing the power to forgive, and the strength to genuinely offer a helping hand even when we ourselves are hurtingIt is the willingness to create a positive, peaceful and healing atmosphere, in the face of unkind and hostile situations. This is not mentally or emotionally easy but when we decide to tap into the True Self, which I believe is created by Divinity, we develop the Quiet Power, Peaceful Confidence, and ability to create positive effects in what has every potential to naturally become negative, destructive and unkind.  A lot of  how we react depends on our spiritual beliefs or source, if indeed we have any at all.

Think on these questions.

  • Where and who do you turn to for the supernatural?
  • Who and what do you draw peace and strength from?
  • Do you have a spiritual realm you draw from, that you can use as your comfort?
  • Do you have a spiritual source that you can delight in, that is your firm foundation when everything around you is falling apart?
  • What will keep you steady and still when everything around you is spinning out of control?
  • What or who will keep you intact when all hell breaks loose?

 Now ask yourself:

  •  With all my knowledge, intellectual power, technological know-how, what have I really become?
  • To what or who am I appending my soul, spirit, and life? How do I nurture my mind?
  • What do I fill my mind with?
  • Who and what do I gravitate towards for peace, wisdom, strength, courage and joy?
  • What images do I worship? What do they do for me?
  • What or who motivates me, inspires me, steers and directs my motives and intents?
  • What do I really stand for?
  • What does my foundation really look like?
  • Am I grounded in anything? If so, what does it look like?
  • What does it really do to me and/or for me?

Nine out of ten chances we will manage our emotions and channel our choices and decisions from whatever or whoever directs us spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

REMEMBER, our lives are not cheap!

One Important Breath From It All

Free stock photo of landscape, nature, man, person

“If I take that one deep breath, walk away for a minute, a day, a week, (dependent upon how deep the cut and how emotional I feel), I will find the strength, the peace, and the wisdom to handle the situation or person more appropriately.

A positive, mature, and constructive response comes with a lot of practice and an attitude that is always less on the defensive.”  ~The Reminder
